im only going for the look, but i dont want a cheap one, with pour quality! c/f overlay is fine, as long as it is a high quality piece!! i realy hope this T/S deal pans out!

i have an OEM...its not that great..if you want a good quality OEM one get one from VIS
the kaminari one is indeed sick...amazing lookign and the CF weave is flawless....two problems though....fitment is iffy and the hood comes gelcoated not clearcoated
they recommend you get it clearcoated
the gelcoat is sufficient but it will show swirl marks
but then again..all the OEM style ones have a gelcoat

I used to have the Kamaniari CF hood on my old car...it is OK, not the greatest...but it will do...the finishes are not as precise and nice as my friend's J's Racing CF hood for his S2000...

I got a cf hood from vis and the quality was outstanding. Good fitment and the weave was perfect. I also liked how they shipped it; must have taken me 20 min to get it out of the box(tape, padding, stuffing) Pic is in my sig, i have sold the car and now have a beater and am getting a z in the spring. I don't really have any closeups...

I have a hood from a company called Aero Duo. If anyone's familiar with their stuff, you'd know they don't make shoddy parts. The hood weighs around 14lbs and the stock hood was around 24lbs. Some people say that 10lbs doesn't make a difference, but hey... every little thing counts. Pricing wise, I'm not exactly sure but I'll ask him how much he wants to charge for his hoods. The hood itself is made out of carbon fiber while the frame underneath is made out of fiberglass. So this is a true carbon fiber hood. Fit and finish is really nice and everyone comments on that.

I suppose so, huh? I just was saying it was a true one cuz a lot of hood these days are just carbon overlays. My bad. It's a true carbon hood......... with a fiberglass frame underneath.
