Default Ordered Kirk Roll Bar today with slight modifications.

I just ordered the Kirk Roll Bar today for my 350Z. I had them make it a bit different then the ones we have seen in the pics. I had them put the harness bar 3" higher because I felt it was too low even though my race seat will be about 2" lower. If you have too much of an angle on harnesses, you are asking for a spinal compression injury (ideally it should be horizontal). I also went with straight back bars instead of the "X" bar. The "X" bar is probably a bit stronger, but with it, I have no way to transport all 4 of my race wheels/tires.

Steve, good luck with the bar. What ever happened to the VW tow "Truck"?

Please let me know how you attach the Willans belts.

The VW "Tow Truck" (Touareg) got a rejection notice from the wife. She hates the way it looks. Problem is, she likes the way the FX45 looks, but it can't tow enough. So, the Z has to be capable of being driven to the track.

Hopefully, someone comes out with a tow hitch soon.

Damn Raecboy, how are you able to fit your race tires in the Z and still have room for gear? I can barely fit my groceries into the Z Anyway, I was wondering if you happen to have pics of the Kirk straight bar option you are running. These guys seem to be the most economical solution to a roll bar but I'd like to see both before deciding. Thanks in advance.

He sold his car and roll bar over a year ago... your best be for straight roll bar is Autopower. www.autopowerindustries.com

Theres mounts to a much better location which is stronger, and fits better.
