Default Plastic SCRATCH

So on the rear strust bar.. there is black plastic every where!

got some pretty mean scratches there!

i took the pieces out today and got some flat back spray paint to match is great!

but how can i get the scratches out???

sanding?? BUT the plastic has a texture to it.. so if i sand the part with the scratch i think it will become smooth while the rest of the pieces has the texture.

any ideas?!?!

thanks

Sanding would give you an apprearance issue for sure.

You can get the OEM replacements for those end pieces, on either side of that center piece that has the Z emblem on it, that would fix it. $35 each though.

+1 on that. I've got extra vinyl that should be a pretty good match if you want some. I bought it to cover the door lock / window control panels but FAILed.

you mean the pieces that cover the inside of the fenders? Oh my... that would be alot of work. If you carry stuff around back there and it's causing scratches, then sanding and painting, IMO, sets you up for worse look later.

Maybe check junk yards, parts brokers, etc. I think most z drivers don't carry much stuff in the back.. probably could find an 03 or 04 with those pieces in good shape and pay alot less than new

Yep that's your options
replace w/new
replace w/used
or cover w/material
deal w/scratches.

SOOO there is the rear strust bar..

not the top 2 pieces with the Z logo in the middle.. BUT

the sides~~~ 1 facing the front of the car and the other facing the rear of ther car..

im gonna go see a custom interior place around here and see how much it would be to get thoes covered with some leather!!!

even if it was like 150 a piece it would still be better then buy a new one for 100 new plus shipping haha

thanks guy! and if anyone happens to see some pics with rear covered with leather or whatnot.. POST !
