Default Would adding dynamat help quite my cabbin?

Hey guys,

My fiance does not want to ride in my car, since it gives her headaches because of my exhaust.. And it drones at certain speeds. She can deal with me slowing down on every dip/bump/uneven surfaces.. But not the sound. So I tried trading my exhaust but been having trouble getting rid of it.

So my question... Would adding dynamat quite down the cabbin noise? Or do you guys have any suggestions?

It would quiet it to a certain degree but like the previous responder said drone is drone. My old eclipse had a magnaflow muffler and it was wayyyyyyyy droned out my interior. I added dynamat as well but eventually replaced the muffler. I'd just buy a nismo exhaust which is what my Z has. Its quiet 90% of the time unless I'm on the throttle.

x2 on this... i have an injen dual exhaust and it tends to drone at lower rpms... i was thinking about this under the trunk mat... if you listen, most of the sound comes from this area.. i think a dynomat would help but has anyone done it before??

Hahaa

I have a tanabe setup.. Y-pipe, mid section and mufflers..

Damn I guess the only answer would be just to change my exhaust. Would the stock muffler bolt up to the tanabe piping?

Or can I just keep the y-pipe and throw the stock parts on?

Change your exhaust. Check out the fast intentions exhaust. NO drone at all even with test pipes

I'll try and bolt up my stock muffler to see if the drone is lower.
