Default Aftermarket Headlight problem!!

I got online and purchased a set of aftermarket headlights for 03-05 Nissan 350z. I have an 04 Nissan 350z enthusiast and well I tried to put the headlights on and the plug was to small on the aftermarket headlights. The plugs that were on the car and on the oem lights had eight prongs and the ones on the aftermarket lights had only six prongs. Is there any way I can maybe switch the oem light harness with the aftermarket lights so they would fit because I like the way the aftermarket lights look. Could anyone give me some suggestions because I really want those lights on my car!

Well... I purchased them off eBay for 190.00. They are black housing design, and they were not eqiupped with the xenon controller like the stock lights are.

those cheap ebay lights are halogen that is why they will not plug up. you should have saved yourself some money and just blacked out your lights as a DIY. there is a very good write-up in the DIY section on how to do this. sorry you wasted $190 maybe you can resell them and get some of it back.

I don't really care if their holagen or not, I really just bought the lights because of the shell. The lights are black housing with a smoked cover! All I really need is that. Is there any way just to transfer the OEM headlight wiring harness over to the aftermarket shell. Along with the xenon controller!

none that have been sucessful since those ebay lights are just copies of nissan lights and do not have all of the mount points to do this correctly.

You can paint your stock housings black and put the smoked cover from your ebay lights on your stock lights.

Will the overlays still look good if I do that. If I remove them from already being on a plastic surface? Another thing, my stock lights are stained in the inside. How do I take them apart?

As someone already said, check the DIY section for how to paint your lights. One of the steps instructs how to take them apart.

I would then either order new tint to tint your headlights, or you could take apart your ebay lights and put the entire plastic lens on your lights. Then youd have new lenses and they would have the smoked out tint.

Or even better, buy my lights! They are blacked out on the inside and have custom LEDs from CinCity! PM me if interested.

i did the same thing as you unfortunatly, but i went with it, painted them flat black, swapped harnesses (wasnt easy) and they are now fine...its not that easy but it can be done, i would for sure go OEM instead in the future
