base pedal upgrade
I have an 08 base Z. If the bottom of my shoe is wet and i press the cluth pedal, it makes a squeaking noise thats pretty annoying (the noise comes from between the shoe and the pedal, unlike the more technical issue others have).
I was wondering if anyone have had the same issue happen before with metal pedals before I decide to make the purchase.

I think I know what you're talking about, but here's the pedals that I just put in. I got the SPNIZ33M competition series. They grab your shoe very tightly and definitely no squeakage.

These pedals were used in "Gone in 60 seconds" on Eleanor. Doesn't really mean anything, but there's a fun fact to know and tell for ya'!

You have to drill to mount them. The current clutch and brake pedals have "wrap-around" pieces that you take off, then you drill into the pedals and use screw and nuts to mount them. The dead pedal screws directly to the old dead pedal. The gas also gets drilled and has pass-through screws.

I found these, any idea why theres such a huge cost difference? It seems to be missing the dead pedal but I think I can live w/ that .

I'm not real sure. The Sparco pedals look to be stamped instead of machined. They don't seem to be real forthcoming with information on their pedals. They also look to be "universal" pedals.
There are also Autovation coupon codes out there. I used one that saved me 35%. I did a quick search and found one for 25% off. I know the 35% one is probably out there, but I just didn't find it this time.

I also have the Autovation pedals and am very happy with them. I bought them about 4 or 5 years ago. My pedals are actually the first set that Autovation sold for the 350Z. They only had pedals for the G35 on their website for quite sometime. I sent them an e-mail asking if they would fit the 350Z and quite frankly, they didn't know. They sold me a set for $75.00 with the promise they would take them back if they didn't fit. Well, they fit perfectly and as soon as I let them know they fit, they put the Z pedals on their website.
Wangsta-if you are interested, I have a set of the stock metal pedals that have never been mounted. I could make you a good deal.
