Default Seat Rails to make OEM seats sit lower ?

I have a G coupe and never have I been happy with the lowest point I was able to put my seat too, it always felt too high. And now in the last month to top it off, my seat has gotten very loose, when I lean back it leans right up making this whole situation worse than it already is.

I stumbled upon Buddy Club seat rails on Ebay and in the description it says it's height adjustable, so I'm wondering if I can use them to replace my OEM seat rails since they're loose already, and would I be able to adjust my seat lower than OEM rails would allow ?? I've searched both Driver and My350 for this answer, and absolutely nothing on this issue!

^ haha, I guess I'll have to take one for the VQ team eh.

I just find it odd that I couldn't find even one thread or post on this issue. There's a thread on how to make the OEM seat and OEM rail sit lower, so it's a known issue that the seat height on our cars isn't right for guys over 6 foot. But I guess everyone who has issues with seats must either go with an Aftermarket seat or just ignore the issue alltogether.

I don't think that you can separate the seat from the rails on the stock seat ,,,at least easily.

no dice... just got a message from the seller on ebay telling me OEM seats will not bolt onto these seat rails. Unless you're down to hit up your local fabrication shop to see if they can cut a hole here, hole there and make it work.

AznKaos, yea the G coupe seats are motor powered.

Laze I hope they're removable, because I have to take my driver seat out to see why it's so loose and wobbly.

if anybody has any other seat rail related solutions please post, I'm sure there are tons of people out there looking for this fix.

sorry, did not even realize you said it was a G.
just amazed that someone else thinks the seat sits high.
i think it has something to do with the leather seats and the electric motors.
i drove a Z with cloth seats and it had more up/dn, foward/backward range.

the seats in my chevy malibu can be adjusted lower than my Z.

^

yea dude, I test driven a 350z when I went car shopping I forget if they have power seats or not ??

and yea I mean I'm 6'1 and 190lbs (with a freakishly long neck) and the lowest position the OEM seat can go is bearable, but still not good enough, I usually have to recline my backrest way back to almost a lazy boy position for the best position.

I would definitely go the aftermarket seat route but my wife also drives the car and she's a hint over 5 foot and 100 lbs, for her the highest seat position is just enough.

are there any aftermarket seats out there that are able to adjust as high as OEM seats though ??

Send me the link to this thread.

When my car was rear ended my head hit the roof, and I'm at the lowest setting. My seats are just base seats nothing special.

I think this is what he's talking about. But I don't think it'll help the Z, sorry.

6'1 here and the stock seat works great, i could recline it to pimpin status if wanted, normal driving is fine, and even straight up for the track and my helmet doesn't hit the roof.
