THe Int. Illum kit and the JDM Footwell lamp kit?
I myself will prob. buy the underdash kit, if I can get this underseat light kit installed. Just need to know the two harness hook ups - two wires, that's all.
Nevermind. I emailed Courtesy and those great people in the parts department overnighted me the instructions for free!!!!!
Guess I will spend my next mod money there - they rock.

Cripes, I forgot those things were that expensive. If you guys can wait another month or so, my footwell light kit should be coming out soon (production ready version this time, not prototype).
Kit will be $140 shipped, choose any color you want, should have fade out functionality after several seconds with door closing, demo mode to slowly fade through the entire rainbow, etc.
My deadlines are always pushed back a LOT farther than I would like, but I'm pretty close this time around. The boards are completely designed, the case is being designed as we speak, and I've already locked down a board house...I may actually make it within a reasonable time this time around

I've been selling prototypes (without the fading functionality and basic off-the-shelf project cases hand cut) at a reasonably brisk pace, so if you want one of those I'm sure I can oblige.
I hate to put a definite date on the production version because I've been WAY off in the past. I can say the boards are designed and I'm awaiting a final quote from the board house. The case is still being designed, but my guy has done great work so far (still looking for a "best" quote for the injection molder). Once all of those details are taken care of (and I lay down a HUGE wad of cash), I expect systems to come in within 2-3 weeks of the "go" date.
I'm HEAVILY shooting for end of June, beginning of July (I can't afford to live on savings much longer
).

If they translated it, they would have to be quite sure that it was perfect - in this sue happy society, you have to make sure that you cover your *** at every turn.
Really can't blame them.

For what it's worth I'm building my own foot well lighting with three different LED assemblies in each footwell - front right and left and under the seat shooting forward linked to the stock plunger switch.
The problem I've discovered is that the driver's door causes a warning chime when the keys are left in the ignition - if you connect the passenger side to the circuit when she opens the door that same chime goes off. So for now the two circuits are split but I think it would be better looking to have the whole car light up with either door opening.
So I'm going to design a very difficult, expensive, and complex circuit - two diodes to steer the door open logic to the LED circuits and not to the door chimes.
For the delay circuit I'm going to buy an Altronic programmable timer module which is adjustable from one second up to 60 minutes. $20 at www.mcminone.com.
Total cost for the 26 LED's, diodes, and timer circuit ought to be about $50.
I'm wating on my uber-power system for the new sound system before I tear into this project again.

That's kind of what I'm doing, using LED's for my own interior lighting. I'm only using 4 "ultra bright" wide-angle blue LED's per side but I'm not sure if they are going to be bright enough. I'm aiming them (hopefully) so they won't look so much like spot lights, I may have to use a defuser.
I'm playing with putting them under the seat or up in the dash aiming down or both.
I also found these LED lightbars ( LB2-B12 ) that may be better than what I'm using now, only $12 a piece and they are 12V.

The kit that wires into the console and mounts the lights under the seats is the JDM foot well lamp kit, $147.75 at Courtesy Nissan.
The Interior Illumination Kit has the Japanese instructions online at Courtesy. The JDM foot well lamp kit does not. It has the picture only that I posted above.
Just so we are talking about apples and apples, oranges and oranges.

they are both amber?
which kit lights up if the doors are opened (what about the one with the switch which is connected near the ashtray? is it always on?)
are both recommendable or is 1 enough to light the footwell area?
on this page

both kits (8000+13400YEN) seem to have factory plugs...is this an improvement so that you dont need to wire anymore?
Why can you neither get these parts @courtesyparts, performancenissan and thezstore anymore?
could anybody who has ANY selfmade pics of this installation please post them?
Thank you!!!
I have both kits. THe underdash lights are not amber, they are white light. They come on with the door open and stay on a bit, then they fade out very nice looking. The underseat lights I was not able to wire according to the Japanese instructions, it did not work. They are amber. As they are mounted under the seat, but not powered, I cannot tell you more about them. Personally, I don't see that the underseat lights will be very noticable if you have the underdash lights.

I have both of these kits and will be installing them as soon as my car is back together within the next couple of months.
GringoTT, you said you received instructions for one of these in English from Courtesy?
