Default Cusco 6-point cage

Does anyone know if a Cusco 6-point roll cage is SCCA or NASA legal. Yes, a custom cage with the front bars going through the dash would be best, not to mention a diagonal bar behind the seats which I think the Cusco cage does not have. Okay, fine. the Cusco unit also doesn't have door bars. But, I'm trying to find out if the Cusco cage offers real protection in the event the car is upside down in a big way.

Not legal in those sanctioning bodies IIRC. Can't offer any insight as to if it may save or end your life in a rollover...

It's honestly hit and miss. I've entered numerous SCCA events with mine and never had an issue. Mine is padded, welded floor joints, and I have a harness bar. The techs have said a few times that it is not the "best" design but most haven't had any issues with it. NASA events are probably a different story.
