Default Another Headlight Blackout

well im not gonna list the steps because there are plenty of these post on here already.

but i did do a couple of things differently. i left the clear plastic piece in on the top part of the headlight as well as the little rectangle lens that goes over the turn signal bulb. most of the pics ive seen of this mod leaves that stuff out think.

i also used a couple of different methods, which i think made it alot easier and less time consuming. after gutting them, i baked em like everyone else does. but i wasnt able to bake them after spraying because i was doing the work at my dads house and he caught me before i could throw em in the oven

so i only let them sit for a few hours before putting them back together, and i think it turned out to be a good thing i didnt bake them because the fumes didnt get a chance to fog the lens that way. i ended up just pressing them together as hard as i could, then heating the factory glue and pressing them the rest of the way. no silicone of other type of glue, and they went back together perfect! let me know what you think.

They look good, but be careful about leaks. If your headlight starts fogging up you're going to have to rebuild it.

Look good, like the unique approach. I'll be honest and tell you I'm not gonna be surprised when they fog up. The way you resealed them sounds like the exact same way I did when I had my Civic and painted them. The smallest leak will cause fogging.

Love your black wheels. Powder coated or painted? Yourself or professional?

Recommend you go ahead and get black silicone and go around the seems... cheap insurance!

I tried to do the "just reuse the factory sealant" trick to, had to redo them.

Can't decide whether I want the dots removed or not when I paint mine. They both look good :[

theyre painted. i did them at the same time except the wheels are done through an HVLP gun instead of spray paint.

and as far as the headlights, im not too worried about it. i wouldnt recomend someone doing this living in a more humid place, but we dont get too wet here in vegas.
