Nismo V2 just installed!!!
Well just in case Im the "some people" you're referring to (Eric), which Id bet for sure I am at least one of them LOL.
Isn't this exactly what we're talking about? How well the paint matches and how well the bumper fits?
Don't mean to seem like a "hater", I'm not. It's just when omegamanex said "wow" well... its certainly not wow LOL. I'm just being honest, and "honestly" it looks good, but it's obvious it was a DIY job.
If you look at the 2nd pic that was posted at the beginning of this thread, you can see that the right side of the bumper is hanging off the body by about an inch. The left side is almost touching the fender. (I know its not installed yet but...) Later down in the pics when its completely installed you can see that the bumper doesn't fit flush on the right side where the gap was in the pre-install pic. The lines on the fender aren't horizontal to the lines on the bumper. Its twisted a little bit right there and theres a tiny bit of overlap where the fender is overlapping the bumper. The fender wells are also a tiny bit out of line as a result. Theres one pic in particular (from head on) where you can see that there's a nice dark black line on the right side (left side of the pic) and the left side the line is almost not there. Thats not a shadow, thats where the bumper isn't lining up right. Well it sort of is a shadow but its being cast by the fact its not lining up. You can also see clealy in the pic (and Im sure it's more obvious in person) that the paint wasn't blended.
For a DIY job it looks good enough. I'm just saying......... Its obvious to me it wasn't done in a body shop and Id be able to tell if I saw it in a parking lot.
I'm sure a lot of money was saved by the DIY. (I don't blame you for trying to save the cash)
Theres also nothing you can do about the paint unless you take it in to a shop, but..... if it were me I'd spend a saturday and try to line up that right fender a bit better... Thats all Im saying. Well actually I probably would have spent the cash and sent it in, but anyways....
Call me a hater if you like, but Im not.
It looks way better then a lot of some of the other crap I see going down the road (and falling off) Im just saying.......... LOL
