the other day my driver door handle on the outside just gave out, doesnt do anything but move. its like the door is permanently locked from the outside
I have to either use my key to roll down the window and reach in or open it from passenger side.

quick fix?

 

its likely a spring that fell out of place from inside the handle. something that engages and moves when u move the handle to open the door musta fell out of place or off track. take it apart and inspect.

 

take the door panel off and inspect the connections.

 

i did but there is still another metal panel blocking the actual glass.
i can peak down in there tho

same thing happened to me and now my passenger door handle gave out.
when you open the door remove those 2 rubber plugs and you will see the bolts to the door handle. take the door handle off and you will see some crazy spring mechanism on the back of the handle. it's something to do with the plastic on the back cracking and making the spring out of place. i tried to rig it up with gorilla glue to put back in place but no luck. i had to just buy a brand new handle. the handles come with a new spring mechanism. my passenger door handle i havent messed with yet but im gonna try to rig it up.
