I have a 350z that comes with the "older" HID headlight - I believe its considered the 03-05 headlight.

I want to get some modified headlights but I would need the "newer/08" version. Like the link below:

Is this swap possible? Has anyone accomplished it or know anyone that has? Not sure if the two version headlights have the same dimensions, they look pretty close, unsure on how the the back housing may differ and fit up - don't want to have to do any body work or major fabrication to make it fit etc.

Also, where would be the best place to get a set of these 08' headlights , if this is possible?

 

Yes people swap them all the time. Look in the classifieds for a pair. All you need to do is cut a wire so that your turning signals don't stay lit constantly. Plenty of threads on this.
