MasterGrade TS [ rear Diffuser owners ] HEATSHIELD ?
I was just wondering if you have put any heat shield (protection) from the exhaust on the rear diffuser. I have the S-Tune and it's practically touching each other (carbon fiber and muffler). Just curious....
hey there amigo, I have matergrade TS diffuser and Apexi 1 exhaust system and I have no problems like the one you mentioned. I would suggest you adjust the bolts that attach the diffuser to the bumper, lose them up a bit so the exhaust doesn't touch the diffuser.
I don't think he is worried about them touching, he is worried about radiant from the exhaust damaging the carbon/resin. I wouldn't worry about it though, the exhaust is cooled enough (still hot) towards the back of the car... not like temperatures you are going to experience at the cats. I myself haven't seen any posts about melted/degraded or damaged diffusers from heat so I would say you're safe.
The MG diffuser is actually really strong. You shouldn't have any problems or concerns with provided everything is mounted and situated tightly.
I would not worry about it but I do highly recommend exaust shields for a better look. I have a 1x1 CF shields made by Shine I beleave. "got off the a member here". Check my posts if you want to see pics.

i believe he is asking for heat sheild for the 'top' side of the diffuser. the part that is close to the exhaust, not the Shine Shields that are for the rear bumper for the exhaust Tips.
the heat sheilding that he might be referring to is this stuff, that is adhesive on one side:

as for me, i did not use any of this stuff, as my exhaust is still 1/2" from touching the up side of my diffuser.
