Actually, around 6k is a hint of blue, 8k is blue, 10k is bluish with a hint of purple, and 12k or above is purple. 4300k (or so), which is basically pure white, is your strongest output.





To answer the OP's first question, 03-05 base models all came with non-HID lamps.

He said base model not track. Save yourself some more money, those plug and play kits are pretty shitty. Just buy 06+ headlights, WELL worth it.

I've had Brightstar plug and play HID lights since December 2003 and have had zero problems. They work very well and the installation was simple plug and play.
