Default Very Foggy Headlight Lens

Hi,

How have you guys been clearing up your road rash-induced foggy headlight lamp pods? I thought about using some polishing compound or a fine-grit polish paper/cloth. But I figured that the best those things would do is create shine on a opaque surface, and not make a clear lends -- *clear*. If anything, any fine polish would only make the lamp pods even more foggy.

What to do?

Does any of this stuff actually work (?):

http://www.rd.com/39716/article39716.html

What brand and version of the polish compound works best? Ideally, I don't want to go through several stages of polishing steps -- I just want to squeeze out the subject compound on a piece of cloth and wipe until clear -- any company makes this?

Clearly this only works on the Z's plastic lens and not on glass, right? Or do they make compounds for both? I just need the plastic version.

Thanks!

Tons of Foggy\Hazy\ Headlight trends already.
I used Plastx and a buffer and mine came out golden.
Here is an after shot. Did not get a before shot but I live in Vegas where temps hit 120 degrees so you can imagine the damage it did.

The problem with headlights is that condensation inside the light collects dust. Polish will improve the outside, but of course the inside remains dirty.

Yeah If you sand it. It will look worse, you need rubbing compound and plastic polish.
