Default Fancy Rear View Mirror

My base model has a normal mirror. Id like the one with the bells and whistles (Homelink, etc)

Does it matter what year car the mirror I purchase belonged to? Ive found sites selling it listing 03-08, and others saying 03-05... I am getting it pretty cheap but its off of an 03 and i have an 08

Also, does anyone know if the wiring harness which plugs into it stock is under the headliner even though my model did not come with this accessory? Ive ran into that in the past, and was hoping this was the same way.

Thanks for your help

Not too sure about that, but i would venture to say your going to have to homerun all of the wires to the mirror.

In which case, thats gonna be a PITA.

look at my post #4 in that thread - Go to a local junkyard or dealership and get the harness with the R2-R3-R4-R5 connectors and the install will be plug and play buddy!

^^^ Im glad I did the install to make it easy for all the BASE owners out there.. The best part is Ive confirmed the BASE model is wired up and ready for all the "add-ons" you may want.. Like Cruise Control.. And NO VDC FTW!

I plan on going to the junk yards soon..getting a steering wheel for CHEAP..
