There is a member here named Bluebatmobile.

Search for him in the members list and send him a PM asking for the price on taillight tint (darkest) and his paypal address.

Man your like my GF. She ended up surprising me with an Asuka Type I hood. I was originally gonna get it but I had been waiting till I had some extra cash and On my Bday it was sitting in my garage.

She knew I wanted it because I had talked about it. Maybe you should ask him what else he plans on doing to his car and then you'd have a shopping list.

As far as tinting tails, you can get overlays or get them sprayed and tinted with a clear coat over, probably the best for tinting tails, but if he doesn't want something permanent then go with overlays.

Most paint shops can spray them. I'm having my reflectors done at a local paint shop. I agree with the earlier comments about guys being very particular about the car. You don't want to go get this done, and then him be unhappy. Here's my suggestion:

1. Call a few paint shops and get some quotes. Make sure this will fit your budget.
2. If it does, make your own custom "gift certificate" to give to him that states that he can get his lights tinted at no expense to him. (you can type it up on the computer and print it out or maybe create something with construction paper, markers, etc.)
3. Put it in a card and give it to him.
4. When he gets the work done, you pay the shop.

This way,
-You get him what he wants and he gets to make sure it's done how he wants it
-It shows the effort you put in to not only finding the gift, but its presentation

I would love my g/f forever if she did this for me.

Just my 2cents. Hope it helps!

My opinion, if he has yet to do any engine upgrades, get him the Jim Wolf Technology "Popcharger". It is only like $100 and a proven power getter and one of the best performing (and cheapest) mods available to us Z owners, and it makes the engine sound AMAZING on WOT.

Just a thought...otherwise go to the 'marketplace' on the forums and then to 'Inventors' section, and you will see a thread by "BlueBatMobile". He offers cheap ($ wise) overlays for almost anything you can tint on the Z.

G/L, and god bless you sweetheart for giving the gift of Z toys.
I aggree. There would be plenty to read so be prepared to spend some time. You would get more than you asked for because we appreciate GFs that take the time to shop for their BFs. lol

Wouldn't recommend tinting lights as a gift as I believe the best results come from DIY opening them up and doing it from the inside.
What does he have done to his car, and what is the budget to spend? These two bits of information could make this b-day ranging from semi satisfied to "OMGWTFBBQ in my pants".
