Default carbon fiber 2007 350z

hello everyone, i am in process of making my 07 350z full carbon fiber, and install other performence upgrades...so here we go i have list of parts that i am looking to install in my z, and i want advise from ya all:

1) carbon fiber hood
2)carbon fiber doors (both)
3)carbon fiber front fenders (both)
4)carbon fiber trunk
5)carbon fiber roof
6)carbon fiber rear fenders(both)

i was told by one of my friend that seibon makes really good carbon fiber products and most of them are bolt on. I also want advise on upgrading motor i am not looking to install turbo kit or supercharger kit on my z yet, so instead of turbo kit or supercharger kit i would like to know what other parts i can install, also for interior i would like to get carbon fibers parts but i cant find any site where i can find anything for interior (carbon fiber).

currently i have installed stillen twin air intake, stillen cat back exhaust system on my z.

i look forward from hearing ya all views on what i listed or any changes i should make to it.

thanks ya all

why would you want to go full CF to save weight, show, both? the cost of CF and cost of painting/installing it would outweigh the cost of force induction if you're looking for performance...

You do have a thing for CF, don't ya.

Seibon does make decent CF parts but I would suggest that you find different brands of parts and whatever and look up those specifically on the forum to see if anyone has personal experience with them. Fitment is often an issue with aftermarket exterior and interior parts so definitely look into the fitment quality. Another thing to think about is the quality of the coating on the CF. If you plan to paint the parts (and please do) you need not worry about this but if you leave the CF exposed over time the clearcoat will often start to cloud over and turn white or yellow.

Another thing to think about with the CF body parts, doors and roof in particular, is what your intended use for the car is. If you're driving it on the street these parts can be extremely unsafe in side impacts or rollovers because they are more brittle than the OEM metal parts. The doors lack the intrusion beams that protect you from a side impact and you definitely can't expect the CF roof to hold up in a rollover. If you plan to run a full cage that will obviously overcome those issues but it opens up more issues of it's own for street use as well.

And before you even consider what I've talked about above I would add up the cost of all these parts. I know that I sure as hell can't afford them.

Just my $.02, but I am in the process of returning a carbon body kit that included front and rear bumpers and skirts. Paid almost 2G for the kit and shipping to Hawaii. Long story short, the bumpers do not fit, and cannot be bent or shaped to be made to fit, without cracking or possibly breaking. I would stick to hoods and hatches and go with a kit that is proven to fit, instead of the headache of dealing with what I am dealing with. PM me about the kit and I'll tell you who made it and where I got it from.

I saw your other post with pictures of your car. You have a beautiful looking Grand Touring Z (aside from the lambo doors); I would just leave it as it is.

"what I dont got" going with asuka-double-hump-roof 750$

From experience working with and having Asuka parts, I am completely satisfied. My parts fit very well and the CF is A much higher grade then Seibon. I'll post some pics to show you what I mean. In comparison though Seibon is hand laid unless you get the pre preg stuff they have but that gets costly. Asuka makes Vacuum infused Carbon fiber which is much lighter and stronger, but also costs a few hundred more. I have a whole CF front end and Im actually getting tired of it. I too was in the CF everything when I first had my car but after ive had it Id rather get it painted and just have some accents of CF. If your serious about doing all the CF parts though PM me and i can help you out.
