First off the why:
I bought a 2003 and the first owner managed to wear down a few spots of the textured console. (on the nav door and a small amount above the door.

I have looked online and prices seem to range from about $150 for a used piece to more than $400 to buy new OEM.

Last, I hate dash kits so don't even mention it!

The questions...
First off process, suggestions on products and procedure? Has anyone found a color match that is available at a local auto parts store?

I have read and seen the horror stories on here, this is strictly cosmetic.
