what's required to prep them? should i sand them down with 1000grit?
when i did mine, all i used was wet/dry 320 grit sandpaper. once i finished sanding i used a prep cleaner to get rid of any residue. then i used the krylon fusion flat black, let it dry for a day. then painted with the same dupli color acrylic enamel flat black that i used on all of my other emblems

good luck and take your time

thnx..

i'm done sanding them with 800grit (looks like brushed aluminum atm), i'm gonna use acetone to clean them out. i'll grab a gloss black rattle can tomorrow and i'll work it out.

unfortunately, someone nicked the Z outta the 350z emblem . so i'm gonna buy either new or a used one (which is rarely available!).

any chance u got a zoomed-out pic of the car showing the Z33?

arent you in luck i stumbled across this thread. i just debadged the "350z" today to give my friend the 3 so he can do the "Z33" deal (plus i wanted the shaved look ) i have an extra 5, 0, and of course Z!

pm me your addy and ill send the "Z" to you that is, if you still need it three weeks later...hehe. you'll still need to find some sort of adhesive.
