Default Window tinting and the 350z question

The window tinter recommended not to roll down the windows for 4-7 days. When the door is opened and the window moves down a little, and when it is closed and it moves up a little, would that affect the tinting? If so, is there a way for the window not to roll a little up/down when the door is closed/opened?

thanks

Im still fixing my z up so this is just a thought, but if you manually roll the window down just a tad, does it not automatically move the window up and down? just a thought.

It's not enough to matter, and its not affecting any edges of the tint so it'll be okay. All 350zs do that and about 95% of them have tinted windows.

As others said, it'll be fine. I'm surprised with the FL sun and heat that the installer said "4-7" days. I think that's a lot of CYA (cover your a&&), but do whatever you think is best.

It'll be fine, but if you want too, where the door switch is, the one that turns your dome lite on, when the door's open, take the screw out. Once you do that, the window will not bump up and down when u open and close.

My installer said give it 2 days, but they're pretty much set. The 2 days was for "just in case"

4-7 days! Holy crap, I had my down the next day. Park that baby in direct sunlight.

Keep an eye on it and if you see it lift get yourself a small plastic bondo spreader and smooth it back down.

^^^ What he said! 4-7 days is a bunch! My guy said 2 days and even after I called him the day after he did mine, he still said "you can roll 'em down tomorrow...". You should be fine after a couple of days, but it is up to you. The window indexing won't hurt it.

In your area 2 days max. Since you getting 5% it's thicker film you will get some very minor bubbles. They will go away in a few days. Don't use a squeegee or bondo spreader you will ruin the film.

+1. I did 4 days anyways, since I use the A/C at all times, and it's freakin hot outside.

yeah 24 hours. 2-3 days to be sure. if you do what someone said about taking a screw out or something to prevent the window from going down when the door is opened you are risking shattering the window if it hits the edge of the roof/pillar
