Default Stress Fractures and Angel Eye Mod

I'm planning on doing the angel eye mod on my 08 lights, but noticed I have some stress fractures on the lens to my passenger side light. My question is, Will I make the fractures worse by heating up the light to remove the lens, or Should I just go to the dealer and see if I can get the whole light replaced under warranty. I only got 4000 miles on my car and its already a year and a half old, spends all day covered under a car port. Nissan really cheaped out on the lens

I would try to get the light replaced first. Why wouldn't you??? If they replace it you may ask to keep the old light for a back up. Some places are good about that and others aren't

I would try and get Nissan to replace the light(s), although I figure they'll consider that a "wear and tear" item (like brake pads) and won't cover it.

What do these stress fractures look like? Can you see an origin? (Look for the body of the spider, if one so exists).
