Default need help, driver window has gremlins!!

So I started having problems with my driver window about a month ago. I would put it down and then I would get stuck for no reason. So the first time it happened I removed my door pannel and the pannel with the window regulator and everthing looked ok. I put it back together and it worked for a few weeks, sometime it would get stuck down so I would open and close my door a few times and then it would work. Now its stuck up and it doesnt go down when you open the door or use the unlock button on the key pad.

Has anyone had this problem before? Its slowly making me hate my z so I need to fix it asap!

First thing I would do is double check all ur connections and solder if u are able. I know the window motors are known to have issues but that's where I would start

My passenger side window has rolled up and down slower than my driver side for like two years. I think the Nissan window motors have always had issues.

I checked everything. On the window motor there isnt anything that you can resoder. I was wondering if the driver switch controls the movement of the window when you open/close the door? I work at an auto upholstrey shop and this is the first time I have ever seen anything like this and go figure it would be on my car.

You will need to replace it. Happened to the passenger side window on mine, once it stopped working completely i got it replaced. Now the driver side window is acting up. I'll probably have to get that one replaced as well..... It's just a matter of time. The window motors on Z's are beyond horrible. You'll just have to live with them.

The window motors are a BIG problem. Appearently the dont have an opening in them to let dust and other things filter out, then they end up badly corroded and the motor loses its connectivity. Either clean it or replace it, but it will continue to happen.

I am currently searching for a possibility of replacing it with a window motor from another Nissan product (NOT a 350Z) since it seems like every year has had the same problem (and part number). I know it would take some fabrication, but anything is better than dealing with this problem over and over again.

Wow has anyone actually taken the pannel out and looked at the way the window works. Iam sorry but thats the dumbest thing I have ever seen on a car. Its used a pulley system with cables and crap. Its set up to fail after a few years so Iam not surprised to hear other people are having the same problem. I guess Iam gonna be doing alot of these in the near future.

After reading everything I'm going to replace the motor. the question is do I buy a reman from auto zone for $170.00, buy a reman from Ai Cardone, which is auto zones supplier for $103 + shipping, or buy one from ebay [oem] for $200 including shipping??

I'm leaning to the oem as everyone has had problems from the ramans. Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions as to what dealer I can buy these from.

I am having the exact problem you are. I also noticed when it does work, the window slowly creeps up/down and the motors whirs a really low sound, almost like the motor is about to die, or something is making it difficult for the window to come up/down. Another thing i noticed, whenever I press the window switch, sometimes it clicks 2-3 seconds after i let off of it when it should make the clicking noise right after i let off of it and every once in a while it doesn't click at all. I'm thinking mine has to do with the window switch. Should I try disconnecting the battery over night to let the car relearn the window position? I was thinking it might be off.

Would a window motor and regulator from a 370 work on a 350? or would you still have the same problem?

Window motor was bad as I have suspected, working perfectly now. Kind of feels weird having it work now.
