Default Altima Nismo spoiler on the Z?

it comes on the 08 nismo fitted altima sedans..

it looks like a mix of the v1 and the top secret, really subtle and seems to share lines with the Z. i really like the part that floats above the tail light....

thoughts?

Photoshopped it on a z....looks sexy, im just unsure about the mounting locations sitting flush.

Would that be legal since it covers almost half of the brake light?

That's not half bad. I like your line of thinking.

I expected terrible, but I see not bad. Will take a lot of fabrication to fit but it may work out in the end.

I think the main thing is the width of the wing itself and making sure it's going to clear, since the Z is a bit wider (I believe) around that area.

+1 ...Always for creativity.

I actually really like the way that looks, now its a question of fabbing.

How do you think fittment would be seeing as how the Altima 4do has much more of a flat, elongated trunk?

EDIT: Well not too sure about ^ statement, actually...it might be alot closer than i think.

all these chops are done WITHOUT any distortion of the scale of the wing. only tilted it a pinch. i seriously believe this wing is a small shaving of the mount away from being "bolt on"...i need to go to a nissan dealer and get measurments of the real thing and specs of the altima trunk...

and for being a genuine nismo wing, its a reasonable price. ive found it around $300.

^^^

that pic hurts my idea, damn, it looks to "flat" to curve around the Z's trunk. i havent seen it from that angle yet.

i still have to see it in person.

Try it out and see. You would never know. Just make sure you don't start drilling holes in your hatch yet. It is not a bad idea to experiment. That's how inventions come about, even though I think there are other "made for the Z"
spoilers that look better and the fabrication to fit it might end up costing you more.

good luck getting the base of that altima wing to match the curvature of our hatch at the rear location..
its gonna end up like those people who tried to put the G35coupe oem wing on the Z.. aka gaps galore.

im sure any reputable body shop can fill in the spaces for you when you get it painted, but why stop at the altima?

why not put a ACR Viper wing on, or honda Del sol oem wing, or porsche cayman pop up wing.. or....

I am agreeing on the fit issue? I am sure you could get it mounted but will it follow the same lines as the Z would be the question.

It won't surprise me that one day someone will try and put a football upright post on their Z.

Gross.

So many options that actually fit the car so no need to create a wing of your own.
