Default cracked front bumper...

Damn it damn it damn it... was on the highway when a piece of tire (thread) went flying towards me, hit the front cracking my bumper a little and messing up my custom fog lights... (im in class right now so i will post pictures later)..

will the insurance cover the repairs of the bumper? i dont think the damage is bad enough to replace the bumper, i think sanding will fix it. but yeah will have to sand it + repaint it.. and need to fix the fog lights too...
im sooo upset ><

Depending on what insurance you have, yes it should be covered.

Post a pic of said damage.

That should be covered under comprehensive not collision. USUALLY deductibles are much lower for comprehensive and doesnt raise your premium but im not sure what your insurance plan is. Get them to change your bumper. More than likely you got some rock chips on your bumper and this is a good chance to get a brand spankin new one.

Why would you settle for sanding? Why not just get a new bumper. Am I missing something here?

My bumper is new, i installed it about 3 months ago (JP vizage type A)
sanding it/fixing it seems easier/faster, but i dont really mind getting another bumper.
My concern is whether the insurance company will cover this or not. It would be new bumper + paint + fog lights or fix bumper/repaint/fogs.. either way i guess i will find out tomorrow when i talk to them.
