Thumbs down

I installed the LED side emblems this weekend, and I must say, I'm really disappointed with the poor quality of your kit.

Here are my gripes with the kit:

1. The plastic ring is full of air bubbles and looks cheap.
2. The ring diameter should have been smaller so that it fits within the depression of the fender, or the ring should have been tapered so that it fits properly.
3. The LED is not mounted securely to the ring and came out during install.
4. The mounting tape is not strong enough to withstand the elements. They should have provided industrial quality mounting tape. I ended up remounting mine using Exterior mounting tape from 3M. It's 10x stronger than the stuff provided with the kit.
5. For $60, they should provide all the necessary wire, wire taps, and wire loom. It's really lame that you have to spend an additional 10 bucks to get all the additional things needed for the install.

Overall, this kit is worth $20 at most.

OK......the very first dis-satisfy customer on the Z4 LED.

I sincerely apologize for not meeting up to your standard. Email us ( Andy@Evo-R.net ) and let us know if there is anything we can do to help you to feel better.

I admit there is always ways/rooms to improve an existing product (any product for that matter).

The time and money involve in the R&D of a product is most often overlook by the customer, and please understand the cost of making a palstic molding is more than you expect. I truly believe $69 for a pair of custom made (car specific) LED side marker is very reasonable in today's standard. Once again, sorry that you are not satisfy with the Z4 LED.

PS. The double sided tape we provide is in fact from 3M and is industrial grade.

I'm very well aware of R&D costs as I am in R&D myself. I also know the costs of making plastic molding, and I still think the $69 price point is too expensive given the quality of the kit. And as far as the custom made goes, you really should reconsider the design of the ring piece if you truly want to consider the kit as "custom". It really does not fit very well on the fender.

SPF4000, maybe if you look back on the forum. Most people said $69 is a very good price for this item. We have not receive any complaint about this side marker yet. You're the first. We'll be glad to replace a new one or refund you. Please let us know what you want us to do. Keeping customers happy is our first priority.

Well in that case, although I like the look, I am unhappywith many of the same things they pointed out. I however ended up using krazy glue to hold the rings on a little better (and ended up making two small mistakes with it). The tape is really whats to blame and were it improved, it would make the product a lot better.

I don't want to do a refund after all the work I went through to install those suckers. But if you guys are willing replace the plastic rings with ones that has no air bubbles, I'll be more than happy to send mine to you.

Andy, I finally got the white test ones installed and received this picture from California a couple of weeks ago. I guess this was an initial test set (in white)? Sorry but I only have this picture until I get it back.
