(1) No! The wire with one copper metal thread is not a good wire for this application. You need something similar to the wires on the LED markers. They can be found in Radio Shacks.

(2) Yes, you can either wrap the wire under a bolt which grounds to the sheet metal, or you can wire to the negative on the parking/signal light. If you choose to wrap it under the bolt please make sure you find a bolt that provides good ground, no paint between the bolt, wire, and sheetmetal.

Hope these helps!

Well, then, so much for Radio shack. The people who work at them know NOTHING. Now I need to go buy more cable. Where does one buy cable with all the little silver threads?

Whats the reason why the single copper one doesnt work?

The single copper wire is not as flexible as the muti-thread wires and can easily break at the connecting point. I cann't believe Radio Shack doesn't have it!!! The sales person there MUST be NEW!!! Try ask someone with more experience and if they still cann't find it then goto Home Depot.

FINALLY GOT THEM ON. They look great. Definetly suggest everyone look into these. I wired mine to the parking lights and at night they look completely stock (a plus) and just stand out. Loving them

Oh great, now I have to spend another $5.00 on more wire as well. I bought the copper wire also. I bought it at Radio Shack, and that's all they had. They didn't have any of the multiple silver wire stuff. Great. Yet another reason to include the right length of wire.

Default Feedback on EVO-R LED Kit & Install Process

I was disappointed in the Z4 L.E.D. kit because it had no alcohol cleaning pads, connectors or enough wire to reach the front of the car. I was also frustrated in the diameter (width) of the 3M sticky tape because when it's attached to the Z it exceeds the emblem's diameter and can easily be seen after it's attached. I'm attempting to attach these units to a 2004 roadster, and I am skeptical they will be secured 'permanently'. I'm concerned that the contour of the body indentation in that area prevents the tape from holding very well, and the thickness of the area between the L.E.D.s and the emblem is very small. I am going to attempt to attach the L.E.D.s directly to the emblem using glue or epoxy, and I'm not sure how I'll attach to the body.
I also feel the instructions could be much better when explaining how to remove the Z emblem. It says to use fishing line or dental floss, but I found a much easier and faster method. Since the inner fender must be removed to wire the L.E.D.s, it's soooo much easier to use a block of wood and firmly but gently push the emblem's pins from the back.
If anyone can explain what I consider a deficiency in the attachment process using the tape, or has better ideas, I'd appriciate more information.

I'll just you guys a sneak preview of the install we did that will be in our upcoming Project ActiveTuning article. By the time of the article, we'll get these painted LeMans Sunset as well. Final comments are great looking product, would definitely recommend more wire be provided, as they definitely need to be extended. I don't trust wire connectors, so I actually soldered the wires up. I also took the wheels off, it just made things soo much easier.

It would cost alot to make a headlight like that. If one is made at price of $980 would anyone buy? It will have 2 sets of CATZ fog lights and a amber signal light. The headlight cover will be in curved shape like OEM shape. Base will be made of carbon fiber. Still uses OEM parking light wire and signal light.
