Default The transformation has begun!

Sorry about the dark pics. I'll try to get some better ones in the daylight this week as the progress continues.
All the work is being sponsored by www.carxs.com
My car is scheduled to be in SEMA next month. Lots of work to be done yet.
The body kit is being fully molded. The paint will be custom (color has yet to be determined). The interior will be painted with a new method that should turn out incredible. Sanding the interior begins tomorrow.
The door handles will be shaved. The antanae is gone. The rear windshield wiper is gone.
Custom wheels are currently being designed for the 350Z. I will have the first set in a custom offset to go with the widebody

Lots of other little surprises in store. Although this car will be at SEMA, it won't be completely done until the first of the year.
It will be a show winner!

Here's a pic of the front. You can kind of see Jerry, the guy doing the work, or I should say the artist doing the work.
Man, I've got to get a better camera!

It's hard to make out, but this is where the antanae was. It has been filled.

as quoted from a late great friend of mine

"that looks tighter than a 12 year old!"

any chance this kit will see the light of production. I would KILL for a wide body conversion. *drool* NICE job on everything and keep the pics/updates coming.

Z350Maniac,

Yes, this kit is in production. It's the Veilside Version 3 widebody kit. www.veilside.com
If you like the kit, www.carxs.com can get you the kit much cheaper than what it costs on veilside's website.

What will set this widebody kit apart from the rest is that it is being molded on. It takes about a week to do the molding, but when it's done, you won't be able to see any seams.

Looks Awesome. I've always liked the wide body kit, just never liked the seems and screw holes so obvious.

I guess your kinda SOL if you need to remove the bumper. You basically have to cut it off, then re-mold it back on. Hopefully I won't need to remove it!

I got my doors done by carxs. I basically live right down the street from the shop and I started hanging out with the guys at the shop and we became good friends. When they wanted a show car to represent their shop, I was right there to volunteer

are you going with one color or 2-3-4 tone??
Not really sure what color the car is going to be painted yet. We have several ideas. Once the color is done we have ideas for some air brushing, and ghost paint. I basically told them to do what they wanted

and aslo..you keeping the 7 mods or getting new ones??
They will be sold. The car is going to SEMA next month and might have to ride out to Vegas (trailored) on the axis sevens. We are getting sponsored on wheels and tires but aren't sure if we are going to pick them up at SEMA or if they're going to be shipped here. They wheels are being specially made and we're not sure when they're are going to be ready.
Contact Ean at carxs for purchase information. His number is (727) 216-7878

We know exactly what we're up against. The 350Z is not winning shows right now. We're going to change that.

Check out this eclipse that Jerry did (the guy that's doing my car)
http://www.carexcess.com/vdc/decah-eclipse.html

It's winning major shows (best of show) in the southeast, even against stock skylines. BTW, the eclipse has to be seen in person to be fully appreciated. The whole interior is painted to match the car.
Yes, that is Lemans Sunset paint in case anyone was wondering, except with zero orange peel!

You know WHY Micky's black lambo door Z didn't win at the show, because we did NOT even bother signing up for the show competition!!! We were too busy having his and Shawn's Z (Silverstone Z) at our (Evo-R) booth we didn't even bother entering the show. I'm sure we would have won if we enter the show!!!
