Nismo 08 Conversion
Wait if it's a 350Z with Nismo parts...wouldn't that make it a Nismo 350Z?? I mean if you take an HR give it to Nissan to make it identical to the Nismo...what would you call it? Just because it doesn't have a number, it is a fake? So if I found a Nismo ripped off the number plate, it wouldn't be a Nismo anymore? I mean it would be identical to the HR that was modded by Nissan that I mentioned earlier.
Forgive me, I just don't see the logic here... Oh wait, the number plate makes it a Nismo! I got it now.

Give it to Nissan and if you have the cash, I am willing to bet that they can make it the exact same as the Nismo considering Nissan is the one that makes the car. Money Talks anything can be done. Obviously none of you have read my post...about giving an HR to Nissan and having them convert it to a full Nismo. If Nissan took an HR and made it identical to the Nismo...the only thing it would be missing is the Nismo registry and again, money talks. I'm willing to bet if you paid them, they can easily make it "official". So my point is a "Nismo" is a 350Z with Nismo parts...so other 350Zs can have the same thing done.

I think you need a cup, myself.
Im willing to bet that no matter how much money you had nissan wouldnt take your non nismo car and turn it into one w/all documents etc. They would prolly tell you what a dipshiet you are and take you to the showroom and tell you there's one there.

LOL! Is this Elan guy serious?
Sir, what you describe is called "being a poseur". Just like guys who drop a V8 in a V6 Camaro and slap Z28 badges on it. Or the guys who slap Cobra R parts on their Mustang. Bottom line is, spend all the money you want to, your car is (and will always be) what it says on the original window sticker.

Do you have any earthly idea what would have to be done to convert an HR to a Nismo....
How about for starters pulling the entire car apart in order to include the many more weld points the Nismo has...
The Nismo was not created to have a more powerful engine, the point was to make an all around tighter car on the track, with more emphasis on handling then on increased power.
Before you start saying "It would be easy to convert", learn about the differences first. Its much more than an HR with an exhaust and body kit.... Even with no power upgrades, and the same driver, it will produce track times seconds faster than any stock HR.
