You get what you pay for...

I've never seen them in person as well. I'd say save some more and wait for a good deal on used brides/sparcos/recaro.. etc just my cent

Function or looks because unless you are flat out around a track every weekend, the stock seats work just fine. I could never put down $2500-$3000 for seats. Plus a rollcage.....duckets.

So cheap looking is better than boring looking? Recaro is probably the least boring looking seats....2 cents.

I was contemplating the buddy club seats, mainly because they are the lightest seat i have found. They weigh about 5kg, when all the rest of the ones i've seen weigh around 6-8kg.

They are good. I bought mine based on the recommendation of a few local spec Miata guys. They're all about getting the most bang for the $ and for entry-level seats, the buddy club is one of the best. I've had mine for almost 3 years , 30,000mi now and its still in great shape.

The only caveat is that it is small! I'm 6' 165lb and I fit snugly in the 'wide' version of the seat. I'm running NAMS super low rails along with it, it is an upgrade of 1000x better than the stock seat if you do any competitive auto sports.
