Aluminum Hood?

Aluminum Hood?

My hood was damaged early on in my ownership. It was replaced and is steel. Is this correct? Its a 2006 Grand Touring. I am starting to believe that it should have been an aluminum replacement.

Steel/...must be aftermarket..OEM is Al.

Who replaced it? If its a body shop then they did you wrong.

Pretty common practice when insurance companies try to save $, which won't happen on my watch, but they've tried. Grab a magnet - confirm it's steel before carrying on. As others stated, OEM is Al.
