Default New ebay leather seats

Hey yall,

I jus had some leather seats put in by a buddy with a shop. I got the seats from Ebay (don't hate). I paid $175 plus $55 shipping from a retailer on there called real_leathers or something. There are a couple guys on here who used him for seats. They were not really butter soft but much nicer looking than cloth IMO. I gave my buddy $150 to put on the skins.

Anyway the install had a few bumps in the road and took about 4 hrs. They fit really well and I am pleased save one issue. They have not tightened up all the way yet after 2 weeks and I can still hear crinkling or crackling sounds from the seats when I move around. We left the plastic like bag that covers the foam on and I am wondering if that was a bad idea.

I am happy with everything I am just wondering how long till the seats form fit and settle and second, how long if ever will it take to get rid of the noise???

I will post pics if anyone cares.

you will have to put heat on the seats for it to tighten up. usually professional shops just put it in the sun for a day or two and it will tighten up.

I wanted Burnt Orange but instead got a different color..

His excuse was they didn't have that color so they sent me "similar" ones without consulting me. But he accepted his mistake and knows color was totally different. I though about installing them but it just didn't look good. I wasn't happy so he told me to send him the orange ones and he will send me an alternative.

So i asked for two tone Black & Gray, let's see what happens...

no sure what you mean by that- but the cloth material used in my 07 is not very durable nor stain resistant even after numerous scotch treatments. These seem like a reasonable alternative as with all things if installed correctly.

My cloth has cig burns... but no way im puttin on that strong orange color..

I can't find any cloth seats/leather seats locally

getting them from the states would cost more than $300 shipping per seat

Tried that... but very few people are willing to ship seats to me and it would be very expensive ( around 1-2k??)

I though the skins i received were really nice except for the color. Full leather/ perforated centers and they did a good job imo (they looked like it would fit just fine)

After i get the black & gray skin and install them i'll let you know if it was worth goingcheap & buying from ebay.

Default PICS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey don't call my seats crap that is so rude!

The whole ordeal cost me like $300 bucks and the cost to quality ratio was worth it for me. I am satisfied for now. I may eventually buy some bride seats if I can get a seatbelt to work and not look like I'm going to the track.

Anyway, here are the pics....Keep in mind they were put in recently and the seats have not seen much if anyone sun as I work late and garage it during the day, you know at my job, where I earn my own money for food and cable and other necessities.
