Default All 350z owners please read!!

This thread is an attempt at getting a feeler on how much people would pay if someone produced a headlight lense for the 350z.
Just the lense not the whole unit. The reason being is because i see z owner's always buying the whole headlight assembly since there aren't a company that just sells the lense seperately. So, how much would you guys be willing to pay for a pair of lense's.

It is hard to believe that no one needs just lenses for the headlights. I know i went through 2 sets with my z and had to buy the whole assembly which sucks. I need feedback please, thanks.

not to be an ***, but who would want to pay 150 when they can pay 50. And companies do sell sti lenses for pretty cheap.

did you seriously bump your own thread 15 mins after you posted it? moron. Why dont you wait a day before bumping. Not everyone is online at all times.

And no, I am not going to answer your question or give you feedback

I dont think he is talking about the sti lense. I think he means the exterior lense that you have to separate to get inside the housing. I could be wrong tho.

I though i was pretty clear in my initial post but since some of you are remedial let me explain further. I'm talking about the lense on your headlight. Alot of people have issues with the lenses cracking or getting broke when modding the headlight. There is not a company that sells the lense which means if this happens to you...you will have to buy a whole new assembly which is very expensive. You will end up spending anywhere from 300 dollars-1000 dollars.

Thanks for your ignorant *** post. Calling people a moron when you have no clue who or what they do you sir have no life. I didn't know there was a rule on how long you had to wait before bumping a thread. Maybe you could enlighten me on forum rules. Moron....don't think so.

Your not being an *** you just have no idea what you are talking about! Don't worry im sure if you have your z long enough you will have this issue and when you have to come out of your pocket to buy new lights you will remember this thread. fifty dollars i wish my bank account would have been alot happier.

I voted but rather some one make a cheaper 06 headlight instead of paying 600+ each.

Please read the Terms of Use for the forums.

Bumping your thread within 15 minutes would probably be considered meaningless posts that would take up bandwidth. as for the 1 bump a day, that rule I have seen for the marketplace,

https://my350z.com/forum/audio-video...fieds-194.html

I do not know if it applies outside of it, but bandwidth considerations should be taken up by every member.

I actually like the idea... thanks OP!

keep me informed if you ever find a company to make or that does make them...

i've had my z for about 5 years now, sits in the sun all day, and the lenses are yellowed and now getting cracks... headlight lense repair solutions didnt work, (but temporarily made it look better) resurfacing doesnt work... (note the cracks)

so i've just been holding out to get a set of 06 lights... sucks to have to buy all new housings and everything... especially when i have my lights height adjusted RIGHT WERE I WANT IT. A replacement lense would be a life saver, and i'd happily spend 50-100 for the lenses... I dont think i'd go much over that as they're just plastic, and most likely to get damaged from road crap...

update: I just got back from having lunch with a mechanical engineer that is a higher up with 3M. He is actually one of my best friend brother's. He was very interested in the idea; so interested that he wanted to invest in the project.

So, anyhow i have a extra lense sitting in my garage. I will be giving him the lense on friday in which he will be sending out to china to get a cast/mold replicated of the lense. He knows people that can get this done for sure. That is all the info i have for now i will keep it updated as i go.
