Default Carbon Fiber Roof?? yay nay

So I've been doing quite a bit of research but I would like to hear some opinions from people who have actually seen - in person - a carbon fiber roof and A- pillars installed on a 350z.

I have an 06 ppw 350z I have a NRG carbon fiber hood (which i must say is the best looking cf I have seen) and I'm buying a NRG cf hatch - I was planning on buying a CF roof and pillars by NRG as well -- but I have been advised by some of the guys at some distribution companies to not do it. That it never looks nice. That it always looks cheap and fits HORRIBLE. Even at the big shows in Japan they haven't ever seen anything look nice - and that I'm better off just flat blacking my pillars and roof.

I'm not expecting OEM fitment here - I know aftermarket never fits *perfect*

I'm really just looking for something that doesn't look like it belongs a 92 4 door civic.

I know there are some companies who make the A pillars and roof where you actually remove the OEM parts to install them but most companies just make an overlay. Has anyone possibly seen both side by side??

The NRG ones I was going to buy were going to be overlays. I wouldn't have a problem with ordering a different brand as long as the weave on all my carbon fiber weave matches -- yes I'm **** like that

so opinions please -- lets hear 'em

haha so true -- cross your fingers it hits the rd before the car behind you that way your not liable.

NRG told me with the one their making that it will tuck under the molding around the windshield so wind doesn't go under...but that still doesn't sound so safe -- its just tape -- i dont trust tape

It tucks under the pillars but i didnt know that.... I ended up trimming it to fit ... I was later informed it tucks under..... I epoxied my roof..... It would prob take some serious time to remove it.....

Double Hump screws in to the roof under the Pillars. It won't really come off unless your hitting speeds over 150mph which it was tested to.

We carry the OEM style CF roofs Jay'Z got and the parts that Blackoutbeds got. In fact both are GREAT customers!

If you have any questions feel free to PM. I also have the A and B pillars. Jay'Z has the A pillars I know and the CF roof and hatch. Take a look at his car!
