I just got new Seibon CW side skirts and the fitment is about 8/10. Tried to 3m it up then I was going to put 2 screws through the bottom cuss these things come with no mounting spots nor does most of the mounting locations even touch the side skirt.

DOes anyone know of a thicker 3m tape that the factory uses on these things or how the freak do I install these??

Do I need to cut into the side skirts on the bottom and anyone know a 3m tape thats think and by far there strongest??

 

im looking at the 3m VHB tapes but there are so many anyone know what is best for CF side skirts?

 

If yoou need thicker tape just stick a few peices together..

 

rather just get the right tape, this advanced auto parts stuf sucks bad

 

doesnt normlly come that big a role but if you vist your local R?C car shop and get some servo tape that stuff is fairly thick and stick like s*** to a blanket as in youd need to chisle it off !
thats what i use for sticking all my stuff on once it on it aint coming off !

I think you need to post a few more times in rapid succession.

Seibon sideskirts have probably some of the worst fitment of the larger name replica companies. Never seen a set that fit without havine to ruin the skirts with extra drill holes or lot's of 3M and even some bondo. Plus you still have the spider web cracking to look forward too.

Ok, match them up to the side of the car so i can see too..

 

cant I would need two other people or some way to secure one side while I held the other. It fits tighter than a glove to the point of needing a little lovin to line up. I need 3m tape the keeps the lovin in place if you understand what I am saying.

 

The only thing you can do is probaby do the outside first, drill the holes for the clips.. Clip them on and then for the other parts use black rivets.
