Ive actually pondered how infiniti uses those tail light. I mean I cant say Ive ever counted, but I figure 40 or 50LED total per side. granted theyd be buying them by the millions; even so it has to cost significantly more than a single filament bulb, not to mention the difficult housing design for them

anyone know what the cost of the G35 housing is exactly? assuming the housing comes with the LEDs in it, which it might not.

I'm sure APC and TYC will come out with something. I had TYC's on my Celica for a while. Much better quality than the APC's.

We can only pray they dont. Why, you ask?

Because i love NISSANs and love the 350Z. I think its a shame any time low-grade products are offered for quality vehicles. This just means that there are ignorant people in the world who WILL manage to make the Z look ugly.

It upsets my stomach knowing that there are people on this forum who actually WANT APC and TYC to come out with different lighting for the Z. I dont understand how anyone would want to change the factory lights, they are beautiful. I can understand wanting a better/brighter light, but not different. Its pretty obvious the stock lights are made to flow with the lines of the Z, making something that both, looks AND performs better will be a difficult task.

I agree, that's why I went back to oem tails on my Celi. You can pray all you want Mike, but I'm pretty sure a few companies will try something. Look at all the aftermarket bodykits that are already available for the Z, a ton of them. I'm sure someone will also come out with an alternate headlight as well.

And I am pretty sure that most companies are going to avoid investing into manufacturing a product that wont sell well. The #1 goal when these companies create aftermarket tail lights is sales, if Z owners are not interested then companies like TYC will not create it; hence, the reason why the JZA80 Supra does not have aftermarket tail lights.

I would hope Z owners are smart enough to appreciate what they already have. Hopefully NISSAN will offer a factory LED alternative, that would be good. Anything else will just be retarded.

Here's the thing though. The Z is priced where alot of people can afford it. I see alot of young kids driving these things. You know they're gonna want stuff like this for their cars, and I'm not saying all young kids do these things to their cars. Look at the domestic truck scene. You see alot of them sporting APC lights.

hehe, different strokes for different folks . Anyways, I've heard too many bad things about APC fitment and quality. We had a ton of problems with their lights for the Celica. Leaking, moisture build up and fitment. TYC is a better brand as far as quality. Plus their stuff looks better imo. We'll see...
