I am trying to finish up installing 06 power heated seats in my 03.

I have everything wired correctly (I think) but the heating elements barely heat. They work, but get lukewarm at best. Anyone else have this problem? I've triple checked my wiring and I think it's correct.

Specs show that the heating unit should operate at 95-113 degrees.

 

Lukewarm on the high setting also?

 

How warm are you looking for? It shouldn't be more than warm to the touch, just enough to take the chill out, not bake you.

 

My heated Z seats didn't impress me neither. My previous car was flame-on soon as you flipped the switch. The Z takes a while and doesn't get as warm as I'd like in the neative 15 degree weather I'm having right now.

Small price to pay for having it

 

mine suck on the g35. on hot they barely get warm. My dad's silverado has double the heat in the seat. After they are warmed up I can't even keep it on high.

 

To the touch when i was working on my seats in the garage (seats were out of car), I could mildly tell a different between the area where the heat pads were. When I got the seats in the car and drove around, it felt very good. Warm, but not burning hot. It worked better than i thought initially. For the record there are no high, low heat settings on the Z. (Just seat/back, on/off settings)

 

I have a 2004 roadster and I have a high and low setting for my seats and I think they work great.

 

do you mind posting your wiring method? just to be sure? and also to help others wanting to do this swap...

there are high and low settings. The switch ges forward for high and backwards for low. That isn't "back" and "seat" positions for heat. It heats both when you turn it n.

it may just be me but it seems like the higher i have the heat coming out the hotter the seat gets(if that makes ANY sense) try it

 

that might work. I usually like the car to be cold and the seats nice and tasty though

 

same here but sometimes when its supercold i'll do it just to get the toasty seats

 

it def works! just tested out again put full heat full blast on your feet and turn on the heated seats turn air down after like 5 mins and feel your backside....TOASTY
