the remote is what matters most to me.. if i get the key with a transponder, that would be a plus, if not, then i won't bother.. i'll just follow way2fast4u's trick..

So I bought my car in Manassas, VA in DEcember 31, 2008 from eastern motors for 19k, w/ 38,000 miles. i know, a little high but being 22 at the time i fell in love w/ a Z and needed to build credit, so i had to get one. the car came w/ one key and a transmitter, no spare.

I finally decided that I needed a spare incase I were to "missplace" my key so I ordered a new one from the stealership. Last year I orderd another transmitter from ebay/remotesforless and it worked but the key that came with it was a hoax. So today I paid $110.44 for just the key and on Wednesday ill pay 37.50 for the programming.

Now b4 the flamming starts for not research on a better price lolz, understand given my medical condition I havent been able to go home and take care of pending issues, duplicate key was one. I havent driven my car in 3 months and unfortunately I wont be able to take it back with me to DC.

This is my experience on how dealerships rape people of their hard earn money. No offense those who work for them.

Thanks for hearing my rant, i will gladly read yours if you post them
I paid 7.50 per key and a one time $40 programing fee for keys at my nissan dealership.

and on the plus side, if you were to loose your key all together youll have the comfort of knowing youll have the spare key inside!!

If anyone knows our cars they already no its chipped so they wont bother with trying to drive it away.. so if they want really want it they will tow it.. Ive been running with a regular key for months now with no problems..

i also forgot to mention when you do this it may take a min..

if you guys need help hit me up..

it was for my 2005 Xterra, but they use the same key. Helps to establish a relationship with your dealer's parts girl
