Not certain why you would summarise Z paint as cheap? Cheap compared to what? And the painting technique costs what? Do you have numbers? Or is the quality of the paint inferior to other paints? Is so how so?
Does the Z look better with or without a bra? I am sure you can make this decision on your own.

http://www.clearmask.com makes DIY clear bras for all types of vehicles... When you order, you're given a very good dvd that gives you step by step detailed instructions on how to apply the film. You're also given 2 spray bottles. 1 for a soap/water mixture, and another for an alcohol/water mixture. The video is VERY good at teaching you exactly how to apply the film. All it takes is some time, and patience. I spent an entire day, on a Saturday, doin the install on the Z. I watched the DVD about 4 times, before I attempted it. Wanted to make sure I understood what I was doing. It's very simple though, similar to tinting windows.
3 years ago, when I bought the kit, the front bumper, hood, fenders, and mirrors all cost me about $400. Most of the shops in my area charged $900+ to do this install, so the savings will definitely justify the cost. At least, it did for me.
IMO their kits are by far the easiest DIY type available. I've had the film on my Z for 3 years now and am glad I did it. Got this for my 04 Sentra that I owned before the Z.
Here's a link for the install steps: http://www.clearmask.com/installation.php
Here's the video: http://www.clearmask.com/cmtv.php?mo...&v_format=.mov
2 things I'm gonna stress...
1. TAKE YOUR TIME
2. Be careful when you stretch the film. Don't over-stretch it.
