Long story short... I've had a few busy weekends and haven't had the time to wrap so I haven't even ordered the vinyl yet. Going on a little Charleston, SC vacation this weekend so it should be ordered next Monday so hopefully I can start on it next weekend! I also had a little setback with the distributor... I was tring to see if they had a small sample roll available instead of me having to order about double what I need to do the job. It took five calls and a week for him to get back to me and tell me that no... there is not a sample roll . Since there will be quite a bit left over, I will probably be throwing the leftover material up for sale on the boards if anyones interested. Don't really need that just laying around. I did wrap the rear strut cover already and will try to put pics up in a bit.

My God! Thank you so much for helping me see the light! I will stop this project IMMEDIATELY!!!
The ricer rollcall was there for a car show. It's subtle. Chill. I'm going to wrap the car because I work at a vinyl wrap shop and we are wrapping it as an advertisement. I will like it... you will not. I don't care... and long live this thread.
To answer the question about how we did it: We basically found some good art on one of our graphics disks and scaled it up to fit. I agree it looks out of place now. Figure it'll tie in when the car is done. If it doesn't... I can peel it off! It's kind of the beauty of vinyl... questionable looks can be changed easily.

Sure I'll definately let you know. The cool thing is the roll is 60 inches tall and there is 75feet of it. I think the door is under 30 inches tall and under 60 inches wide. Therefore I only have to cut off 30 inches of vinyl off of the roll to do one door. Another good thing is that its like putting a clear bra on the entire car. No more swirl marks or rock chips! Here is a link to the material I'm using... http://www.oracal.com/products/product.asp?seriesID=237

Finished up Sunday night at about 10:30... VERY long weekend... put probably 20 hours into it... 13 of which were on Sunday. Turned out very good for the most part. There are parts that will need to be touched up. I also still have to put my wheel spacers back on, change out the lug nuts, and pinstripe the wheels in black to cover the blue on them. Not REAL sure about the roof. I'm probably going to keep it on about a week and just flat black it too... Here are pics! Better ones and DIY to come when I finish touching up...

I was looking for Urban Digital camo (little squares) but never found a good high res pattern. Since it is vinyl and I can print it at work easily... It may change in a week or so to something else. It's kind of a beautiful thing... It takes about an hour to take a roof decal off and put a new one on so it's not that big of a deal. I was also going to do a DIY for it so that would give me a chance to show how to remove and apply one.

I was curious if you used the same stuff to do your roof as the guys doing the interior pieces?! Also, did you apply it the same way as the interior pieces? I think this looks so badass but I know some guys were having issues with the pieces lifting during the summer months so they used stronger glue. Stronger glue is great and all, but how will that affect the paint?
