Default Question bout tail lights

I was looking around for an aftermarket look on my tail lights, but am stumped. They all look like ricer trash!

Am I the only one who feels this way?

The only tail lights I somewhat like are the JDM clears, I think they would look nice with a smoked overlay. Has anyone seen them with the overlay? Or can point me to a pic with them?

I have an 06' and I like the stock lights, but I am going with a black/white theme, and the red lights are going to kill it...

thanks for the help guys.

Totally agree with you on the aftermarket tail lights sucking dick. Just tint yours with like a 5% film, or the JDM clears will look great depending on your car's color.

Most aftermarket taillights have horrible build quality. So yea they're rice. If you wanna swap them your only option is the OEM JDM ones. I'd just tint them like other said.

i thought about tinting mine as well. DUKE had given me some free tint stickers but i ended up giving them to a friend as well. Wouldn't match my Black n Red theme. But i did see them on his Z. Tail lights and the reverse lights. Looked pretty sick. Made me wish i least kept the reverse light tinting. But yeah TINTING is way better then aftermarket garbage!

There is absolutely no aftermarket tail lights that are worth a while yet alone the money. Like you said they are all ricey and cheap. This can only be the case since OEM 06+ LED are best ones you can get and how much can you improve on that???

Also its the odd shape of our tail lamps and lack of space that makes they harder to create "new" styles w/o ruining the lines of the car (think of those one that bulge out )

These are what i have, and i love them...only non-rice LED tails made imho, as long as you get them in all red ONLY. Fittment is good, and they have lasted a year thus far still working great... I actually like the LED arrangement better than 06+ stockies.

These look a hell of a lot better than tinting your tails....do not like tinting anything except my windows...

Yes i do like those LED arrangement better than OEM 06+ ones but they fit okay (B- fitment) and the LED are not bright enough. I have seen them in person several times.

This is true, comes off like a mm from bottom of rear quarter, but not hardly noticable.

As far as brightness, they are PLENTY bright but only from straight behind, at angles to the left or right, say 40 degrees either way, they become dimmer because LEDs are alittle too deep inside those little individual tube housing things.
