I hear where your coming from but I can not paint match PPW but I would open my head lights to save $1400 and have a body shop paint match the inside. Unless my car was completed and I could lose 3 grand would I go this route. But of course I have shopped for ways to save $$$ everywhere but in the end if I can not justify the extra $$ I can not do it. Kinda like the Nismo V3 diffuser, I have spent allot on my car so the 500$ price tag should not bother me. On the other hand I can not justify that much for a thin piece of plastic.

Well...if I personally did it I would probably mess something up, then I would really get pissed. Having spent the extra money to fix/replace something, then it ends up costing the same amount in the end.

This is from their website. So if i'm reading this right, $1800 to do the mod + $650 to paint them. For a total of $2450? Plenty other things I can find $2400 to spend on the Z.

$1800/pair White Super LED Headlight "Conversion" (06-08)
$1700/pair Amber Super LED Headlight "Conversion" (06-08)
+450 - Matte-Black Paint Finish
+650 - Color-Matched to Factory Paint Code
+800 - Side-Marker Delete Option

Holy ****...don't forget, the cost of purchasing the lights if your coming from an 03-05 + $750 & Trade to $1200 for brand new. The lights are then 1/4 of the total KBB value of the car

^ - Clearcorners.....
But yeah if you just want em black ,unless you have time and money, I would do it yourself (if you know how) or go with some of the cheaper alternatives listed. However you may end up unsatisfied. This was one area I didn't want to touch and wanted it to be right the first time around.

there are a couple of vendors on "the 370z dot com" that do a really good job!!! Check them out there. I went with 180 custom and they did a fantastic job for my 370z:

and then there is MRworks that does a great job too!

Great posts ^^^ Some light at the end of the tunnel. It's almost comical to think a company charges you $650 to paint your headlights. I don't care if it's paint matched or not. The amount of labor and paint cost that goes into a front bumper is $300 for almost all shops, more times then not they require more prep and we def know more paint. Just wonder what the shop pay is around there.
