Thumbs up California Car Cover

I bought one of their covers for my Z back in 2007. Thing fit like a glove on my car and did a great job protecting it. Well, I go to pull it off today, and as I'm removing it, I hear a RRRRRIIIPPPPPPP, so I see the cover randomly tore an 8-inch hole in itself! At this point I'm pissed because it was a pretty expensive cover, and it wasn't even that old.

I call them up, and they give me absolutely zero hassles about replacing the cover. I should have a new, custom cover in about two weeks.

Anyway, I thought I'd pass this experience along to you guys. If you're contemplating getting a cover, definitely considering California Car Cover.

Glad they're taking care of you. Did you have your car parked outside or in weather? I've tried a lot of car covers and after 6 months or so in weather the material just comes apart

Car is always parked outside (college apartments own me ). The thing held up super well for almost 3 years, but it just randomly ripped today.

I have destroyed several Nissan covers. Never asked Nissan for a replacement. Damn good of California Car Cover to give you a new one.

Per their website, I'm still under warranty, but I'm just happy they didn't fight me.

FWIW, I have the Superweave. Did a great job and water would just roll off of it. I got gray myself because the other colors WILL fade over time.

Do have any aero pieces (lip/ diffuser/ no spoiler, though) & if yes, does the cover fit over it?

No, my car is bone stock on the exterior. However, unless you have a huge SBC wing or something like the Top Secret diffuser, I don't think there will be any fit-related issues.

Fear not. They make these things to order, and they can definitely do custom stuff, so take some dimensions and they should be able to make it work.

does this cover go low enough to cover most of the wheel area?

ex: if i park next to a curb for a week and a sprinkler goes off everyday, i'd like it if it didnt sprinkle my wheels every time....

A small portion of the wheels will get a little wet, but its only a small portion. If you're dropped, its not an issue.

I'm having issues with the diffuser, so I haven't been able to get measurements yet. One of these days....

The California Car Cover can run you almost $300 for a decent one.

I picked up this one instead and have been happy with the results.

I park my Z outside and it's the only water repellant cover I've found in the the <$180 price range.
