Angry Member SCAM alert!!! help

First off, I cant begin to explain how frusterated I am over this.

Im posting this in hope to identify who this guy is and if anyone knows him personally or can give me advice on what to do. Also to find out who the other my350z member is who also had been scammed by this guy.

The member's username is IN350z and previously had a FS thread on selling 06-08 headlights in great condition. Well apparently the first buyer flaked on him and I was the next scam victim in line. He PMs me and asks if I'm still interested. I tell him I am and we conversate back and forth for a couple of days arranging a deal. During that time he sends proof pics with his name and explains what happend with the other sale which i believed was legit. So i send a payment of $750 to his account after finally feeling confident it wasnt a scam at all. Within minutes of making the payment i recieve this message from him Originally Posted by SnyzzleZ

sounds good.. thanks

hey, bad news... as soon i i posted the money to withdraw... paypal limited my account for some reason ... because of the last purchase... and i cant withdraw the money form the account... also.. while my accuunt is limited the paypal wont let me refund you... this is so dumb.. this is what happend the the guy before you also... ill contact paypal to try getting a refund back to you and figure this out... sorry bro, i dont know whats their problem...

I PM him back telling him to find a way to ship them out or refund me. He then gives me his paypal address and password and tells me to try myself.. So I login and it says his paypal is limited due to recent fraud attempts. I send numerous PMs since then which have all been ignored and never responded back to. So what do i do now? Paypal is telling me to wait fckin 7 days to see if i recieve the package which im obviously not going to.

Try spoof@ebay.com and see if they can help. PayPal and Ebay are all the same company. Sorry about your problems. When I first started selling on Ebay I sold about $3500 worth of stuff the first two weeks and when I tried to withdraw my money PayPal told me I could only withdraw $500 a month unless I gave them access to my bank account. This was kind of scarey but I did it and it still took a month to get my money. I dont sell on ebay anymore. And I still have at least $5k woth of historic racing stuff to sell.

WELL just tried to settle a dispute through paypal but when i sent the message it said the user currently cannot be contacted and I have to go straight to filing a claim. So hopefully Paypal has already suspected a scam and I will get my money back.. hopefully

I have had the same treatment with ebay and paypal. Since ebay is paypal they control it all. I used to use ebay to sell but If I ever use it again it will be without paypal. They **** you coming and going.

IN350Z has been a member for 2 months. Hardly enough time to establish any credibility.

Little difficult to get money from a PayPay account with a zero balance.

further proof that the classified section rules need to be changed with the removal of the premium member buy-in. 2 months/18 posts

I remember that thread. Didn't the guy he sold those headlights to first chime in saying everything was settled? I think he was from HI but I don't remember his user name, maybe the mods can find it. Also, it says IN350Z is a premier member...shouldn't this site have some personal info on him?

sorry to hear that, OP..

i've raised a claim with Paypal and ended up on the scammer's favor.

really sad..

try to find more details.

i'm sure for him to withdraw the money from his paypal account, he needs a bank account. trace that, and you'll get his real name. you can then report it to the police.

Good Luck!
