hey all,
Does anyone have an experience with cup holder being stuck?
I tried pulling it out but im afraid Im gonna break it.
I figured theres no way to take it out unless I get the passenger side dashboard out..
Any solution to this?

You mean the worlds most complicated cup holder? Leave it alone. Its dangerous.

 

thanks waizzz. i usually search before i write but for this one i didn't even think searching because i thought it was just happening to me. lol

 

Mine is always stuck if it gets pushed in all the way, just pry it out with a key.

 

LOL. Well said. I just leave that alone and when people ask what the little square is on the dash, "it's decoration, don't touch it."

I'm not sure if the newer years have it, but 03-05 have a cupholder that slides out of the dash on the passenger side. You push it in, then it pops out and unfolds.

Anyway, it's waaay too complicated for a cupholder... so of course it's a piece of crap that doesn't work like it's supposed to. It seems to be made from the cheapest materials on the planet in a sweatshop in China by six year olds. Needless to say, mine never sees the light of day anymore.

 

That must be it, The Lexus SUV's have them(the 330 350 and 450h) and they are very functional and work very well..
