OK, finally got home from vacation and put everything I've been piecing together for about a month...

Personal Neo Grinta 330mm Steering wheel
Nardi e-brake handle
Redline Goods shift and e-brake boot (Black leather/silver stitch)
Works Bell QRS and short boss

Special thanks to Synth19 for putting this in my head... my wallet is now AWOL 'till next year.

Some notes:
* A 330mm steering wheel IMO feels awesome. All my cars will now have a 330mm wheel or smaller.
* Short Boss + QRS actually lessens a little distance of the steering wheel to driver. If you're looking for even less distance, go with a flat steering wheel; ie: Neo Eagle is flat vs Semi-deep Neo Grinta
* Getting that Nardi handle on is a biatch
* Redline Goods quality is AWESOME!

i was wondering, on the ebrake handle... did you have to slice the rubber off or does the nardi ebake just covers the lever? also the cost of the nardi piece please.

i know the momo ebrake goes for $80ish. but that nardi piece looks so much better. you can also pm me the price

Well worth the money looks really good. ^+1 on the e brake install how difficult was it getting the stock one off. By the looks of it thats not a quick release hub correct?

Seriously, I want to wrap some pieces in di-noc... also will probably go for some "go" mods with hfc's and sway bars.

Yes, you need to remove the leather or polyurethane off the handle otherwise it won't fit. Don't "cut" it, but just run a thin putty knife down one of the two seams. You want to just separate one of the seams.

***Warning*** The Nardi handle will slide in about 3/4's of the way, but you will need to shave down the e-brake on the car with a file in some places to get it to slide all the way in. Also, the piece is all aluminum, and will take time to cut the handle with a dremel. If you aren't skilled with tools, don't do it.

Google "Crowder's Customizing." It ran about $80.

It is a quick release. It's a Works Bell QRS, thinner than the Works Bell Rapfix II. Chose it so that the wheel would kept in more of a stock position.

Getting the stock e-brake off is easy, again, don't cut it, but just use a blunt tool to run down one of the seams. The leather/poly and the front plastic piece under the handle are held by "star washers" though. Just give a tug after you split the cover.

*** Or you can take off the center console if you want to "save" everything... and you can see what I'm talking about. To take off the center console, take off the shift boot cover like when you want to change your shift ****- it will expose 2 screws that holds the front portion of the center console on. Remove the ashtray, there's a screw beneath it. Then remove screws on both side of the center console near the rear- recline your seat forward and you should see them. Remove the plug to the hazard button and your'e set.

I recommend doing it this way as it'll let you take the rubber surround around the handle off properly. If you try to take it off from the outside like I did, you make tear off a tab... like I did. Also, it is a PITA to take that off from the outside. Reason why you want to take that rubber surround off is so you can tuck the leather boot in properly, otherwise, it may bunch up like some of the examples you may have seen.

Hell yeah. Drove indoor kart while in Arizona and kinda gives it that type feel, but with power steering... LOVE THE SMALLER FEEL.

Seriously, that does come into mind, but it's the chance I'm gonna take. I'm thinking of buying a helmet though.

 

when you ordered the shift boot did you order it shorter than stock? if so how much? yours sits perfect.

 

The shift boot is stock sized, and compared to the stock boot, is exactly the same size. Even has the mounting holes stamp in them so installation is a snap.

The shorter boots are made for short shifters, unless you want the look of a more taught boot.

Yes, just like the Momo. Just make sure that when you get the handle you want... the inner diameter of the hole is at least 1 inch. When you get your handle, you'll know what adjustments to do to the Momo DIY.

But again, like I stated above... you will have to shave the handle on the car down a little with a file.

Bringing this tread back from the dead since its one of the only ones that came up when I looked for this QR. I'm looking at doing a WB QRS, regular boss hub and a Nardi 330mm Deep corn. Does anyone know what the measurements are for this setup vs stock? Im trying to get something close to stock.
