Default VIS OEM Roof cap owner please chime in

i am gonna install my roof cap this weekend, and yes i have searched! what did you do to secure it i.e. epoxy (which i am trying to avoid) is there a way to screw it under the a pillar 3m tape? Is the cap pretty secure when it is tucked under the a pillar? please if you can chime in show pics or whatever will be a great help!

I bought a used one for my z and it has 3m tape around the edge of the whole thing which means thats what was holding it on the whole time. So I guess you can do the same. However, I personally would just epoxy it b/c if you ever remove it you would probably have to repaint your roof anyways.
