Default Nismo V2 + 03 Fender liner question

Here is one thing that always boggled me that I never bothered asking anyone until today.

I've owned 2 sets of V2 bumpers on my '03 track for 3 years and I always got this problem.

Left fender

Right fender

Front fitment

So what's up with that?

I'd like to think my fitment is fine but the fender liner part is messed up. Is it because the 03-05 fender liners are different from the 06 and the V2 is an 06 bumper?

Will 06+ fender liners fix this?

If it's not so much of a burden, can the 03-05 / 06-08 Z's with V2 reps take the same pics. Just curious if i'm the only one getting this.

Yes

Yes.

I am basing this on the fact that I have the same gap - I have an 06 OEM bumper on my 04 with 04 fender plastics.

Anyone knows if I need to modify anything to fit a 2006 fender liner to an 03?

Have the same problem and it drives me nuts even though no one else can see it i know its there.

So the fix for an 03 is the the 06 fender liners ...?

Just take it to my body shop have them figure it out.

There cant be to many changes on fender liners from 03-06.

I have the same gap, on both side, with my Aerosyn bumper. My is '03, also. As long as all the retaining bolts and nuts are tighten nothing will move. It's just cosmetics to me. "06 fender liners will cover up the gaps, if you're that concern.

Just changed out my fender liners this weekend- yes, the 06+ will fix this issue, and no, you don't really need to "mod" anything to get it to work. It's just a couple of screws and some pressure clips.

If your bumper doesn't come pre-drilled to mount the fender liners to the bottom of the bumper, you may want to go ahead and take care of that- it goes a long way toward making both the bumper and the fender liner more sturdy. You'll see what I'm talking about when you purchase the liners.

You can get them from courtesyparts.com . Each front wheel well is composed of TWO wheel liners- the front and rear. Make sure you order the front passenger and driver side liners. You should be able to use the clips and screws from your existing liners- no need to order extra hardware.

You mentioned there are two parts. Do I need two parts of the 06 fender liner?

No- the front part should suffice. Go to courtesyparts and take a look at the diagram, you'll understand what I mean.

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but I'm having this same problem. The thing is, my car is an '06 w/ the v2 bumper, so I can't figure out why this is happening since I already have the '06 liners? Is there something these are supposed to attach to? I'm going to get some bodywork done on the car sometime soon, however this has been constantly annoying me and I'm hoping I can find a fix until I take it to the shop.
