Lightbulb Smoking the chrome on 03-05 lights; What do I use?

Sup guys.

I have an 03 and I want to smoke the chrome on the head lights. I dont want to smoke the lens, nor do I want to black it out.
Anyone know what spray I can use?

My 99 Civic had OE Type R head lights that had darker chrome and I loved the look.

Here are a few pics of the lights.

I suggest you pull apart the lights and then use VHT nightshade (a light coat) to cover the chrome parts you want done. I imagine the nightshade would get you that darker smoked look without completely blacking it out.

You can also use DupliColor Shadow. This is made primarily for wheels.
It is very durable. You also can add extra coats to go darker.
Don't know about the heat factor inside the lights...?

VHT Nightshade there you go... I used that about 6-7 years back to tint the tail lights on my 190E, works perfect!

Ill give it a shot soon and post pics.
